Add Follower Account
A Follower is a Combine Deployment that uses another Combine Deployment, the Leader (also called the User Management Account), for its Users, Groups, AWS Role Mappings, and Certificate Authority chain. You create a user once in the Leader, and the user signs in to the Leader's TAP and to every Follower's TAP with the same certificate. The Follower's servers also "bridge" cross account Role assumptions through the Leader Account, so the Accounts they reach need to trust only the Leader Account.
Change the Default Role
When Combine receives a request, it determines which IAM Role to use to sign the emulated request. It checks, in order:
Change Additional AWS Services
Each Combine release allows a default set of AWS Services in each emulated Region. This guide explains how to allow an additional AWS Service, what to do when an AWS Service or AWS Service feature is blocked by a DENY, and how to block an additional AWS Service.
Combine Deployment Process
This guide is only for customers who have access to the Combine automation tool and perform their own build and deployment operations. It covers the prerequisites, the clients.json file, how to run Combine Commands, and how to build and upgrade a Combine Deployment.
Delete/Uninstall a Combine Deployment
This guide explains how to delete a Combine Deployment and the AWS resources it created, either with the destroy command of the Combine automation tool or manually in the AWS Console.
Multi-Region Deployment
A Combine Deployment can run in more than one host Region of the same AWS Account. One Region, the Master Region, holds the resources that the whole Combine Deployment shares. Each additional Region runs its own Combine VPCs, with their own TAP and Endpoint Servers, and uses the shared resources in the Master Region.
Reference - clients.json
This page is a reference for the parts of clients.json that need more detail than the field list in the Combine Deployment Process guide: the CloudFormation Parameters most often set on each Combine CloudFormation Stack, the IAM Overlay and IAM Augment Policy fields, and the User Management Account fields. Read that guide first for the full field list and for how to run the Combine automation tool.
